Key Dates

  • Round 1 registration

    • July 01, 2025 - January 26, 2026.

  • Round 1 date, time, and location

    • January 30, 2026 (Friday), 12pm-3pm (U.S. Eastern Time).

    • Students' schools or USAAIO's authorized test sites (such as universities, libraries, test centers).

  • Round 2 date, time, and location

    • March or April, 2026.

Registration

  • Round 1 registration
    1. Contestants must be proctored. Prior to your registration, please ensure you can find a proctor.

    2. Sign up for a portal account at Beaver-Edge AI Institute. and complete your contest registration in your account.

    3. After your finish registering for our competition and receiving our confirmation email, you shall set up an Edvistas student competition account. The instructions for students can be found here. â€‹

    4. After setting up an Edvistas student competition account, you shall find a proctor site who agrees to host you for the competition. A proctor site shall send you its unique URL that links you to that site. The instructions for proctors can be found here.

Round 1

  • How to qualify for Round 1

    • Round 1 is open to everyone.​

    • Advanced coding for deep learning (PyTorch)

  • Format

    • All problems shall be answered with Google Colab.

    • Each problem may consist of multiple parts.

    • Some parts are non-coding tasks. Contestants are required to typeset their solutions (such as mathematical reasonings and final answers) in Google Colab text cells.

    • Some parts are coding tasks. Contestants are required to typeset their code in Google Colab code cells.

    • All code shall run on CPUs. That is, in Round 1, GPUs are neither needed nor allowed.

USAAIO Camp

  • How to participate in the USAAIO camp

    • Qualify via Round 2.​

    • This includes U.S. citizens and permanent residents, Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and international students who are attending schools in the U.S. and Canada.

Team USA

  • How Team USA is selected

    • From the USAAIO camp.

    • Only U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents (green card holders), and international students who are attending secondary schools in the U.S. are eligible (this complies with IOAI's rule).
