What is the relationship between USAAIO and USA-NA-AIO?
The USAAIO organizes and runs the USA–North America AI Olympiad (USA-NA-AIO).
What are the eligibility requirements to participate in USA-NA-AIO?
- Be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or a full-time middle or high school student studying in the U.S. or Canada.
- Be under 20 years old by August 30 of the competition year.
- Not be a full-time university student during the competition year.
Is USA-NA-AIO used to select U.S. teams to represent the United States in international AI Olympiads?
Yes. The USA-NA-AIO is the only pathway for students to qualify for Team USA.
I am a U.S. or Canadian citizen attending a school outside the U.S. or Canada. Am I eligible to participate in USA-NA-AIO?
Yes.
Can I take USA-NA-AIO without being proctored?
No. If you do so, your score will not be certified, and you cannot advance to the next level of competition.
Who registers for the contest: contestants or proctors?
Contestants.
Do I need to know who my Round 1 proctor will be when I register?
No. You will be asked to enter your proctor's information during the contest.
Is USA-NA-AIO an individual or team competition?
It is an individual competition.
