  • Round 1 registration

    • June 01, 2026 - January 31, 2027.

  • Round 1 date and time

    • February 19, 2027 (Friday), 12pm-3pm (U.S. Eastern Time).

    • Students' schools or USAAIO's authorized test sites (such as universities, libraries, test centers).

  • Round 2 date and time

    • March or April, 2027.

  • USAAIO camp​

    • June, 2027.​

  • Proctors

    • Every round must be taken onsite and be proctored.​

    • Contestants from anywhere in the world must take the competition at the same time.

Registration

  1. Complete this registration form.

  2. Find a proctor. We will collect your proctor's information only during the competition.

Round 1

  • How to qualify for Round 1

    • Round 1 is open to everyone.​

  • Topics on the syllabus covered in Round 1

    • Markdown programming in Google Colab

    • Mathematical foundations for AI

    • Basic coding

    • Machine learning

    • Advanced coding for deep learning (PyTorch)

    • Deep learning foundation

    • Basics of convolutional neural network (CNN)

  • Format

    • There are non-coding tasks and coding tasks.

    • Coding tasks must be answered on Google Colab.

    • All code shall run on CPUs. That is, in Round 1, GPUs are neither needed nor allowed.

USAAIO Camp

Team USA

  • How Team USA is selected

    • From the USAAIO camp.

    • Only U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents (green card holders), and international students who are attending secondary schools in the U.S. are eligible (this complies with IOAI's rule).

  • Which competitions Team USA will participate
