It is an individual competition.

One round.

No. All problems are multiple choice, and students do not write code.
Why doesn't USA-J-AIO ask students to write code?
- Basic Python and programming logic still matter. Some multiple-choice questions ask students to read a short Python script or trace pseudocode.
- The exam focuses on reasoning from first principles. Students should understand how a method works, without having to memorize library functions or use a high-level API as a black box.
